this is the best I heard:
Most of my life I have been a healthy skeptic on the subject, even after I saw a spirit at age 8 because a lot of these things come from overactive imaginations and malfunctions like electric problems, or just plain bad lighting, that type of thing. You rule these things out first.
My great-grandfather, with whom I was very close, was hospitalized. I was just told "he's really sick and has to stay there" by my family because an 8 year old kid isn't really going to understand something like cancer (which is what was wrong with him, I found out when I was older). It was Good Friday that year (1982) and my mother and I were at my grandmother's house while grandma was at the hospital with my great-granddad. Mom was dying Easter eggs because the church we went to at the time was going to have an Easter egg hunt and Easter party for the kids in the church the next day. Anyway, I thought I heard the phone ring. I ran upstairs and asked Mom why she didn't answer. "The phone didn't ring, sweetie." I went back downstairs. I had been down there about 5 minutes and turned my head and saw my great-granddad. He smiled, looked at me and said, "Be good and save your money. If you save it and spend it wisely, you'll always have money." (Granddad always gave us a dollar every time he saw us and always told us to save it when he was alive.) Anyway, the image of my granddad disappeared, and immediately upon his disappearance, the phone rang. It was my grandma telling my mom that he had just passed away. I believe that I saw the spirit of my granddad.
My friend's story: She came from the kind of family where most of them never finished high school, and none had ever gone to college. My friend regretted this, and wished things were different. after she got her GED, she attended a CNA (certified nursing assistant) program and graduated top of her class. One of her friends took a pic of her in her graduation gown and diploma with a digital camera in a well-lit area around no windows or anything reflective. You can clearly see her dad's face (who had passed away 3 years before) beside her on one side. On her other side, you could see an orb, which she believes is her mom (who had passed away the year before). My friend believes that not only were they there for her graduation, but that they were there to let her know that they were proud of her for doing something significant and proud that she had actually finished something that she had started. You can clearly see the dad's face and the orb in this pic, which had not been altered in any way, shape, or form.
People can believe, disbelieve, or laugh off what they want to. But the truth is, we truly do not know what all is out there. None of us. It's just that most people don't want to admit that.
